Subject: Re: Graphic Icon on PCs?
Content-Length: 635

John Kohl writes: Does the graphics version of Icon work on X-servers on PCs?
An Icon *client* running on a platform for which Icon supports X
(mainly UNIX and VMS boxes) should work with any X server that has
a valid network connection and can run other X clients where Icon
would run.
I know of no one who was ported Icon's X support to run clients locally
on a PC operating system other than UNIX. Theoretically Icon could be
built for Desqview/X (for example), but we don't have the software or
human resources to do it.
